Welcome to The Music Tree world of fun, learning and music...

The Music Tree was founded by Megs Deller in 1993. She has been involved in music from early childhood; her parents were musicians and encouraged her to follow in their footsteps. From this early start, a musical career ensued: teaching, composing, performing and arranging. For many years she has managed a successful dance band and more recently, time has been taken up with researching the magic that music can bring to children through The Music Tree.

From her own experiences and as a mum, Megs understood the benefits of music within education for babies and children. She appreciated that the easiest way for a child to learn, was through activities that are fun-filled, like a game and enjoyable.

Today, The Music Tree has grown into a platform for general learning through music awareness: we offer six age-related ‘stepping stones’ from birth to school age, with a view to helping your child prepare for their first steps towards the Foundation Stage and lower Key Stages.

The Music Tree and your child

The Music Tree provides a great opportunity for mums/carers (not forgetting dads), to enjoy a shared experience with their babies and toddlers in a musical environment. Our activities will help your child to develop rapidly in most areas of child development: language, memory, numeracy, physical development and co-ordination, social skills, concentration, to mention but a few. Most importantly, our classes encourage children to listen and learn.

Fun, as well as learning, is always at the root of The Music Tree. Our friendly Music Tree staff and cuddly Music Tree characters are always centre stage, helping to provide a fun-filled programme for you and your child.
